Responsibilities:
As Process Project Manager, Rilie’s responsibilities include:
Operation and maintenance of Single Screw Demaco Pasta Press, Wenger Twin Screw Extruder, Fitzpatrick Hammer Mill, and Pilot Swing Mill (Hard Red Spring Wheat/Durum Wheat)
Support educational programming through lab demonstrations using the equipment listed above
Work with parties interested in conducting product development at the NCI by discussing scheduling, formulas, and project objectives
Education:
B.A. in English, University of North Dakota
B.S. in Sports and Urban Turfgrass Management, North Dakota State University
International Association of Operative Millers: Introduction to Flour Milling Class
IGP Institute Kansas State University: Advance Milling Course
Several Advanced Twin Screw Extrusion Classes
Experience:
Employed at the NCI for 2 years as a student and 14 years as a full-time employee.
Worked with many ingredients associated with food trends during the 14 years of employment, including, but not limited to: Traditional, gluten free, fresh, frozen, and keto pasta. Using alternative ingredients in puff snack processing. Addition of protein sources to food products. As well as many other food ingredients.
