Tour Overview:
The Northern Crops Institute (NCI) is hosting a two-day export tour in Duluth, Minnesota from June 20-21. The tour provides an excellent opportunity for those involved in agriculture to visit the grain export facilities in Duluth and experience in person how grains from the Northern Great Plains are handled and shipped to destinations around the world. Participants will have the opportunity to tour the Duluth Superior Port Authority, container and rail yards, grain terminal, and see several scenic sites in Duluth, MN.
The tour will also include presentations from industry professionals, including Dr. Frayne Olson, Associate Professor of Agribusiness and Applied Economics at North Dakota State University. Participants will also hear a presentation from Daryl Ritchison, Director of the North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network.

Who Should Attend?
This tour will be available for current grain elevator staff looking to learn more about exported goods handled through ports. This tour will also be beneficial for producers looking to understand how their grain is handled through the export channels.
