About the Speaker.
Jacob Shapiro is Partner and Director of Geopolitical Analysis at Cognitive Investments (CI), where he is responsible for integrating geopolitics into CI's investment strategies. In addition to his work at CI, Jacob is Founder and Chief Strategist of Perch Perspectives, a geopolitical risk consulting firm that works directly with companies and entrepreneurs to manage global political risk. Prior to joining CI, Jacob served as Director of Analysis at Geopolitical Futures, which he co-founded with George Friedman. Jacob holds a BA from Cornell University and a Master's degree from the University of Oxford. He lives in New Orleans with his wife and young daughter and in his spare time continues an ongoing quest to find the best cheeseburger in the world.
