About the Speaker.
Dr. David W. Bullock is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics at NDSU and is affiliated with the Center for Trading and Risk (CTR). His research program focuses on basic and applied research in the areas of futures and options markets, over-the-counter derivatives, trading, risk management, agrifinance, Monte Carlo simulation, and Big Data applications in agriculture. Dr. Bullock also teaches the graduate level Introduction to Risk I (AGEC 711) course and participates in teaching at short courses sponsored by the CTR and the Northern Crops Institute (NCI) at NDSU.
Dr. Bullock received his Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Iowa State University in 1989 and began his position at NDSU in January 2018 after working for over 25 years in a variety of government and private sector positions in the Twin Cities area. Prior to moving to the Twin Cities in 1993, Dr. Bullock worked as an extension economist and assistant professor at Montana State University. His research has been published in the Journal of Economics and Business, the International Review of Economics and Finance, and the American Journal of Agricultural Economics.
