Responsibilities:
As Processing Technologist, Samuel’s responsibilities include:
Conduct pilot-scale processing and assists with laboratory analyses on northern grown crops. This includes: milling, oil seed processing, and other analysis. As well as assisting with pasta productions, extrusion, and soyfood processing.
Contribute to demonstrations and training for domestic and international trade team and short course participants.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Crop and Weed Sciences with an emphasis in Agronomy from North Dakota State University
Experience:
Samuel has had 10 years of Agricultural experience in various roles.
Sales Agronomist: made recommendations for fertilizer, chemical and seed to farmers.
Seed Specialist: operated and maintained a seed treatment facility.
Grain Elevator Manager: managed and operated a facility handling; wheat, soybeans, canola, durum, sunflowers, corn, pinto beans, and barley.
Samuel worked part time with NCI prior to being hired full time.
