Course Overview:

This course will focus on the theory and mechanics of pellet manufacturing technology using a virtual format which provides the latest information on pelleting technology and allows for live question and answer sessions. The course is designed for managers, shift supervisors or line operators who are responsible for the pellet manufacturing of livestock feed, food manufacturing by-products and biomass densification.

Objectives:

Provide participants the latest technical information for a better understanding of today’s pellet manufacturing industry and the role different ingredients play in the pelleting process. 

  • Technology training will focus on how a press works, pellet press types and die design, steam conditioning and generation

  • Participants will also address particle size reduction, pellet durability, and the economics associated with pellet production.
