About the Speaker.
Javier Carrillo Koo graduated from the University of Science and Technology, ULACIT; with a bachelor's degree in Marketing and Bachelor degree in Marketing with emphasis in Sales. Also has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing. Postgraduate studies with TRAINMAR Maritime Administration and is a graduate of the Maritime Economy Program of Lloyds Maritime Academy.
Mr. Carrillo began his maritime professional career on the Panama Canal Authority in 1999 on the Marketing Department. He assisted during the administrative transition of the Panama Canal Commission to the Panama Canal Authority on the Market Research Unit and has since been part of the team responsible for analyzing global trade patterns, market trends, international economy and the impact these forces have on the trade that uses the Panama Canal route. Served as a Liner Service Specialist for the Liner Segment Unit until 2016. Worked for the Specialized Services, auto and cruise industry analysis unit, between 2017and 2018. Current leader of the Dry Bulk Market Segment analysis team at the Market Analysis and Customer Relations Section.
