Northern Crops Institute Hires Brian Sorenson for Program Manager
The Northern Crops Institute (NCI) recently hired Brian Sorenson for program manager. In his new role, Brian will use his background in cereal chemistry, grain milling and grain quality to provide organization and leadership in the development of educational programs to promote northern grown crops to global grain buyers and food processors.
Brian previously served as technical director at NCI from 2001-2008 and director from 2008 to 2011.
“I’m excited to be back at NCI and to have the opportunity to help regional agriculture,” Brian said. "These are challenging times for agriculture and there is much work to be done.”
Brian says this is an important time for NCI to inform the world of what they have to offer in terms of diversity of crops and crop utilization. Brian is originally from Fisher, Minnesota and he has a M.S. in Cereal Chemistry. In his free time, Brian enjoys kayaking, woodworking and spending time with his family.
