NCI is Seeking a Program Manager

The Northern Crops Institute (NCI) is seeking a Program Manager. This position will be responsible for the development, planning, and delivery of educational programming that is designed to increase international and domestic demand for the crops grown in the four-state region NCI serves. Most programming focuses on wheat, soy, corn, and barley. Programs may include in-person short courses, virtual courses, small conferences, and single presentations. Some travel, domestic and international, is also expected. The person in this position should have strong organizational skills, be an excellent communicator, and have a desire to interact with people from across the globe.

APPLICANT MATERIALS REQUIRED:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.  

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  

  • Demonstrated organization and detail management skills.  

  • Possess basic knowledge of agriculture industry.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree in a related field (food science, animal science, plant science, ag econ, ag education, etc.).  

  • Demonstrated, strong knowledge of commodity crops.  

  • Event planning, leadership, and management experience.  

  • Experience working in agriculture and demonstrated success working with international citizens.
