Welcome to the Communications Corner ㅡ a once a month recap blog post sharing what NCI’s communications team has been up to!

September was another busy month with various events on top of our everyday communication and marketing tasks. Let’s recap this month’s events:

Webinars

Our team helps market, run, and recap NCI’s various webinars hosted several times each month! Learn more about each webinar from this month by reading our blog posts:

This month, NCI launched a new webinar series: Everything Ethanol. This series is sponsored by the North Dakota Corn Council, South Dakota Corn, and Minnesota Corn, and kicked off with Brian Healy as the first speaker. Our team worked to create the graphics and new web page, as well as adding this series to our routine for creating the webinars.

Webinars keep our team busy as we prepare them from start to finish each week. Before each webinar, our team creates the graphics, website content, Zoom registration and links for panelists and attendees, registration and reminder emails, social media posts, as well as taking time to do run-throughs with each speaker. During the webinar, at least one person from our team attends as host to ensure everything runs smoothly and records for people to watch after. Once the webinar is finished, we upload each recording and send out emails to those who were not able to attend live, and finish with a blog post.

Courses

This last month, NCI hosted 3 courses, Dried Distillers Grains Procurement, U.S. Wheat Baking IBIE Expo Team, and our longest-running course, Grain Procurement Management for Importers. Our comm team helped by creating all the name tags, name cards, and participant folders for each course, as well as helping with any technology needed. We spent a lot of time with the Grain Procurement Management for Importers course as we needed to video every speaker and presentation to turn it into an online course.

Between the busyness of webinars, courses, and traveling…our team has also been hard at work editing videos, writing press releases, blog posts, planning, & more for upcoming events.

Opening Session of the Next 5 Years Executive Conference

Our team worked to host our second conference, The Next 5 Years Executive Conference, on September 12, at the Armory Event Center in Moorhead, MN. We designed and created all the banners, invites, poster boards, social media posts, and website, as well as running the technology side during the day of the conference.
