NCI Video Production | May Update

Just like April showers bring May flowers, April video shoots bring May editing sessions. The NCI video blog continues where it left off last month with wrapping up some of last month’s videos. All of the previously mentioned videos have been completed and strategically posted. Follow NCI on social media to never miss a video.

NCI Pasta Production and Technology Course:

Within the past month since the last video blog, NCI hosted one in-person course (an online option was also available). The annual Pasta Course kicked off April 26 and commenced April 28.

NCI Video Specialist Kari Schiefelbein gets in on the action.

If you’ve been following the video blog, you may have noticed in the increase of video work that after each in-person course, a recap video appears. The NCI video team conducts interviews to hear from the participants on what they took away from the course. This is a great opportunity for feedback as well as to share the participants’ experiences with others.

This month’s featured preview video features the recap video of the Pasta Course. Check out the video and hear what participants and NCI Program Manager, Brian Sorenson, have to say.

Each recap of the courses is actually comprised of two videos: a short version and a long version. The long version is more detailed and is posted on NCI’s YouTube page. For NCI’s social media, a condensed version is posted to highlight the best of the best in an efficient manner. The preview link below is the full version, providing the most detail and accuracy of information. Keep reading to find out where and how you can access other videos, such as shortened versions on social media.

Miscellaneous:

In this month’s miscellaneous section, we will take a look into the future on what to expect from NCI video production. Planting is the keyword now. Though it has been primarily severely delayed in this region, planting must go on.

NCI is excited to announce that we have confirmed with a few farmers in the region for some planting film sessions. Locked in and ready to go this year will be corn and wheat. Hopefully other commodities will be available for filming as well.

The plant 22 filming plan will also feature interviews with the growers in order to explain basic principles of farming. These videos will be used in courses as well as for international trade teams to help them better understand the farm to table process.

Stay tuned next month to hear how the planting shoots pan out. Exciting video work is ahead, and you will not want to miss out!
