Welcome to the Communications Corner ㅡ a once a month recap blog post sharing what NCI’s communications team has been up to!

June was another busy month with various events on top of our everyday communication and marketing tasks. Let’s recap this month’s events:

Webinars

Our team helps market, run, and recap NCI’s various webinars hosted several times each month! Learn more about each webinar from this month by reading our blog posts:

Webinars keep our team busy as we prepare them from start to finish each week. Before each webinar, our team creates the graphics, website content, Zoom registration and links for panelists and attendees, registration and reminder emails, social media posts, as well as taking time to do run-throughs with each speaker. During the webinar, at least one person from our team attends as host to ensure everything runs smoothly and records for people to watch after. Once the webinar is finished, we upload each recording and send out emails to those who were not able to attend live, and finish with a blog post. 

Courses

NCI hosted 2 in-person courses last month; Food Grade Soybean Procurement course and a custom Grain Procurement Management for Importers course. Our team helped to create the name tags, name signs, and course portfolio for all the participants. Our Food Grade Soybean Procurement course was the first in-person international group we’ve had since the pandemic. We worked with translators and translation equipment to ensure our course was accessible to everyone. As always, our comm team was around to take photos and videos of the courses. Our summer is booked with a variety of online and in-person courses, events, and more so we are always planning ahead and making sure we have everything that we need!

Between the busyness of webinars, courses, and traveling…our team has also been hard at work editing videos, writing press releases, blog posts, planning, & more for upcoming events.

Participants during the Duluth Port Tour

NCI held a Duluth Port Tour from June 20-21 that took participants on a tour of the Duluth Superior Port Authority, container and rail yards, grain terminals, as well as a harbor tour to view the scenic sights of Duluth. One of our comm team members joined the tour and was able to capture photo, video, and interview of the port tour.

Video production has become a huge part of what our communications team works on, so check out our blog to learn more! We are currently working on a video project that will showcase a variety of crops from planting to harvest, so stay tuned for updates!
