NCI Market Update | Jim Peterson & Mike Krueger
This week the Northern Crops Institute (NCI) held the eleventh installment in the Market Update Webinar Series. Throughout the year, these Market Updates have continued to serve as one of the innovative ways NCI works to fulfill its mission. The webinar series was created to engage with past course participants, and offer market insights to those interested. By providing this pertinent information on a variety of topics, NCI has fostered growth and learning globally.
During this month’s second hour-long market update, participants were able to listen in and gain new insights on the recently released WASDE Report, spring planting, and market trends. Presenters were Michael Krueger, who has 40 years of experience as a cash grain trader, market advisor, and commodities broker. He is the founder of the Money Farm. And Jim Peterson is the Policy and Marketing Director for the North Dakota Wheat Commission. Peterson currently serves on the U.S. Wheat Associates Wheat Quality and Transportation Committees, the Durum Industry Advisory Committee, and the Wheat Quality Council Board.
This duo offered fresh insights into the current market trends, commodity trading and how successful marketing is done. Participants were able to take away valuable knowledge that can be practically implemented.
By hosting market updates and continuing to provide new information, these webinars have and will support the mission to expand and maintain domestic and international markets for northern grown crops. NCI looks forward to hosting more market updates and connecting with past course participants in the future.
