Yesterday, August 4th, NCI held another episode of the Market Update: Special Edition series. This episode featured Dr. Bill Wilson, a distinguished NDSU professor with an accomplished history in the industry. Bill’s focus during the webinar was on the challenges and opportunities in global agriculture trade and competition. 

During this hour-long webinar Bill addressed a variety of topics when it comes to the current market of agriculture. There was discussion on competition in exporting, major events affecting agriculture trading and markets, world trade, sustainability, carbon markets, the growth of technology and its effects, and more.  Bill closed the presentation by answering live questions from the Zoom audience. 

Dr. Bill Wilson highlights this quote from the presentation: 

“... international agricultural commodities market is subject to more change, competition both among companies, and between countries, than ever before.”
