NCI Market Update | Zsolt Vincze

This week Zsolt Vincze was the feature presenter in the sixth NCI Market Update. This Market Update was part of an ongoing series created to serve past procurement course participants through providing new opportunities for participants to learn from a wide variety of experts. NCI strives to foster continued growth and professional development through these updates. The information provided to past course participants strengthens these connections and works to highlight market changes.

This month’s NCI Market Update with Vincze focused on grain markets. Vincze is the Senior Vice President of the Commercial Group of R.J. O’Brien. He is responsible for the overall risk management strategy for the producer segment of the group, which includes managing the risk on the inputs and advising clients on marketing their production.

The sixth NCI Market Update is one webinar in an ongoing series designed to connect with NCI’s past course participants and foster further education. All past procurement course participants are invited to attend these updates and learn more about ag markets. NCI strives to connect with past course participants, as well as support regional agriculture and value-added processing.

Vicze spoke specifically about corn, soybean, and wheat markets. Giving participants a chance to ask questions and learn more about current market trends. During the presentation Vincze touched on basis levels in response to one of the participant questions. He said, “We are seeing a lot firmer basis levels that historically we would expect.” These interactions drive NCI Market Updates and help provide relevant information.

By hosting market updates and continuing to provide new information, these webinars have and will support the mission to expand and maintain domestic and international markets for northern grown crops. NCI looks forward to hosting more market updates and connecting with past course participants in the future.
