During this month's hour-long update, viewers are able to listen in and gain insight on the crop outlook for corn, soybeans, and wheat. Presenter Bill Tierney is the Chief Economist for AgResource Company. Bill has over 36 years of experience studying and working mainly as a global crop market analyst.
Bill offered some great insight when it comes to market predictions for corn, soybean, and wheat
“That is, corn and soybeans crop prices are already approaching their record highs. It is our expectation that they will match or exceed those highs sometime in the next 6 months.
Moreover, it is our belief that some long-term structural changes are underway in the row crop markets and that prices will stay at an elevated level for the next 18-24 months.
Wheat price will get dragged higher following corn btu, at this time, when don’t anticipate conditions that would drive wheat prices up to the all-time highs.”
Check out the webinar series with Bill as he goes in depth about how he feels the market will turn when considering the weather, supply and demand, and our global competitors.
